Four*
Despite how much she
loved her brother, she didn’t like this idea of his. And she will stay on her
ground, well… she wished to. But hey! This is Sawatari Kazuma she was talking
to!
“It’s not that long, just
a month” Kazuma’s voice was low but loud enough for both of them to hear. He
was obviously control his volume so that his guest that sat two meter from them
won’t hear what they were talking about.
“A month-“
“shhhh” he closed her
mouth with his right palm “lower down your voice!” he whispered. Izumi rolled
her eyes then pulled the hands on her mouth.
“-is 30 days. 30 days is
long” she continued in same volume as him.
“30 days passing very
fast. You told me yourself that you felt a year like a month. Without even you
knowing, it’s new year” Izumi rolled her eyes at this. He was practically
repeating her words two years ago when she made a speech in front of all her
colleagues in their End of Year party. “It’s final. He’s staying in your place
for a month. After all, you owe him your life for making me waiting for hours.
if not because of him, you are now dea-”
“It’s just 30 minutes!”
“30 minutes is one
thousand eight hundred seconds!!! You made wait for that long! For one thou-”
“Why me? Why not in your
place? Or hotel? He looked rich to afford hotel”
“Gosh~ too much question!
What are you? Primary student and I’m your teacher?” he scrunched his nose then
stared at her with a ‘Duhh!’ expression “isn’t it obvious?? Hotel is expensive.
Even though he’s super rich, to live in a hotel for 30 days is way too wasting.
And I remind you my lil sis, I live with my girlfriend. If he lives with me, we
have to lower down our voice at night and it won’t be fun. I prefer die than
for that to happen, for not hearing her loud sexy mo-“
“Nii-chan!!”
“Lastly, you’re in
holiday too!! Means you have free time in your hand. He wants to spend his
holiday here in Japan. After all, he came here with me! Which mean, he’s my
guest. It won’t be nice if I let my guest who come to Japan for the first time
wanders around this foreign place alone.” He put his hands on both side of her
shoulder and made her face him “Isn’t this a good chance for you to do some
good deeds at the same time enjoying your holiday by touring this precious
lovely country with new friend and to become a good citizen who knows her
country well more than the prime minister rather than studying other’s country
that doesn’t even care if you’re dead or alive in their country”
Izumi took a deep breath
to stop her from rolling her eyes and to snicker at his statement. “I take this
holiday for me to HOLIDAY not to baby-sitting a twenty-something-“
“-twenty six years old”
his brother corrected her.
“-twenty-six-“ she paused
then muttered “he’s my age”
“Are you saying that we
bother your peaceful life?” he said rather serious with hurt and upset
expression.
Izumi wide opened her
eyes at his exclamation then abruptly she shook her head frantically “No!
That’s not it nii-chan! What I’m saying is-“
“You should just say so
rather than making me go through these shits” he chuckled bitterly then turned
his body ready to leave his spot but stopped by Izumi’s hand on his arm.
“F-Fine. I accept this.
He will stay in my apartment for thirty days” she stated giving up. Making him
upset was the last thing in her super long list-to-do. Unknown to her, Kazuma
was grinning widely which almost split his face into two. Seeing her brother
not moving even an inch, she panicked as she thought he was very upset -which
wasn’t true- then quickly added “for free! I’ll bring him touring Japan and
making the most unforgettable memories for him. If it’s needed, I’ll be his
twenty-four-seven nanny! I’ll take care of him as if I’m carrying a jar full of
oil!” received no response from the man –which actually, was struggling to
prevent himself from laughing like crazy- she shook his brother arm.
“Nii-chan~”
Kazuma took a deep breath
to stop his wide smile then turned around to face his little sister. A fake
faint smiled curved his lips. “Thank you Izumi! I love you!!! You’re the
best!!” he hugged the relieved-Izumi for around two minutes then let her go.
“I’ll tell him this good news!” he said as he turned around. Inside his mind,
he was laughing his infamous evil laugh. The feeling of getting what you desire
was indeed wonderful!
“Wait nii-chan!”Izumi
grabbed his arm and stopped his track once again. Kazuma cocked his eyebrow as
he turned his body to face her. “He’s a male and I’m female…” she trailed off
as she couldn’t put her thought into words.
Kazuma smiled, understood
very well what she was meant. “Don’t worry! He’s a good man. Believe me! We’ve
been work together for five years. He’s a decent man despite his playboy looks.
He’s not the same as any normal man. He won’t do anything to you” he said with
only one breath as he was in hurry to tell this good news to his guest. He
ruffled her hair then ran toward the man.
“He’s abnormal then.”
Izumi said sarcastically and rolled her eyes as she saw her brother talking
over-friendly to his so-called guest.
Despite how displeased
she was with what just happened to her, she couldn't deny the weird sensation she was feeling but she didn't know what. The last part was indeed embarrassing. But
there was something more than that which bothering her. Somehow, this sounded
very familiar that made her goosebumps. Déjà vu!?
